Many work areas and trades come together at an event, and accidents can quickly occur, especially during set-up and dismantling. This is why an on-site safety and health coordinator (SiGeKo) is essential for larger construction sites. Before construction begins, the coordinator prepares a risk assessment that takes into account all the trades involved and all the work steps. During construction and dismantling, the processes are monitored and controlled by the safety and health coordinator in order to avoid hazards and to ensure that everyone involved can leave the event unharmed.
